Corrections Policy
Accuracy is a publishing requirement. Degradable Packaging Editorial Team is responsible for checking errors, updating coverage and recording material corrections.
Reader submission status
Reader correction submissions are currently inactive because a verified mailbox has not yet been enabled. No email or alternative correction-submission channel is offered at present.
The Contact page will show the channel when it is verified and enabled. Once available, a correction report should include the article URL, the disputed statement and supporting evidence.
Editorial review
When an error is identified, the editorial team checks the original evidence and, where necessary, additional sources. A correction decision considers the underlying claim rather than the commercial interests of a source or related party.
No fixed response time is promised. A disputed claim may need further checking.
How corrections are recorded
- For a material factual error, we correct the relevant passage and add a dated note explaining what changed.
- For a substantial update that was not an error, we label the new information as an update and show when it was added.
- For spelling, formatting or a link repair that does not alter meaning, a public correction note is generally unnecessary.
- If an article’s central premise is unsupported, we withdraw or replace it with an explanation rather than silently rewriting its history.
Dates and transparency
We keep the original publication date and use a modified date for substantive changes. Publication dates are not changed merely to make an article appear new. Correction notes should explain the change without unnecessarily repeating misleading material.
Responsibility
Degradable Packaging Editorial Team remains responsible for corrections. No external ombudsman or separate editorial board is implied.
